Every time we visit London we make a special visit to Fortnum and Mason to pick up loose tea and learn about new varieties they have in. The Tea Masters that serve you have a strong understanding of the teas they have in stock; the flavours, brewing times, aroma, and each time we come out with a beautiful selection.
Golden Monkey Tea is my of my favourites. It is grown in China’s Fujian province and handpicked and processed each spring.
This is my go to tea when I need a little evening pick me up or a comfort tea as it has a smooth mouthfeel that coats the tongue without feeling heavy. It delivers a rich, nutty flavour and finishes with notes of honey, caramel and a hit of apricot along with other fruity undertones. Just delightful.
We re-brew the leaves throughout the evening and the flavours remain great. Why not treat yourself and give it a try.
